Wernher was obsessed with going to Mars, wrote a sci-fi novel called “Project Mars,” that delineates
democracy is a stupid idea. Technocracy that’s where it’s at.
Mars has a dictator, whose title is “The Elon.”
Elon’s Nazi Grandfather and Father are inspired by that novel, hence Elon’s name.
